Read Why Johnny Can't Walk to Schoolto understand the full impact closing our school could have.
How about sending "Hand-written" letters to the President of the United States since he is the one that honored the schools success?
It couldn't hurt. Especially since the government enforces the "No child left behind act". When letters are written to other officials simply change the header to the President and send it on.
how can a school that has won the exemplary award more than once even be considered as a site for closing????? this school sends out exceptional young people in the world. its such a close knitt family. the principal knows these kids by name. and not just the ones sent to the office!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN. BUSH CHOSE THIS SCHOOL FOR A VISIT. DOES'NT THAT MEAN ANYTHING???
I attended Silver Street elementary from K-6th grade. It breaks my heart to hear about this wonderful school being considered for closing!!!
What exactly are they gooing to do? Why are they concitering closing it?
We don't know what they're going to do at this point. There are many reasons given for closing a school: money and re-districting are probably the top two.
