Congratulations to Jamey Aebersold! He has been selected as one of the 10 newest members in the New Albany High School Hall of Fame. Jamey , a musician, graduated from NAHS in 1957. An induction ceremony will be held September 7 at 1 p.m. in the New Albany High School cafeteria. 3 generations of Aebersold's have attended Silver Street
I have lived in New Albany all my life. I attended Silver Street all six years. We used to lived on Jay street way before they tore the houses down to make the playground larger. I have very found memories of the school and teachers. It made me the person I am today because of good grounded teachers and friends. I work now at New Albany Police Department answering 9-1-1. Have been there for 18 years. I received a call from a gentleman that had a sign stolen from his yard. When I found out about save Silver Street I asked him to put a sign in my yard. Please, join in saving Silver Street School, it has so much history here.
Thank you Freda. I hope that no one else gets signs stolen. Everywhere there are signs, those individuals asked to have them and are placing them on private property. Also, many of those individuals offered donations for their signs. Stealing anything from private property is a crime.
